When it comes to that time of year – the summer holidays drawing to an end, kids getting restless, even if they never want to admit it, they’re getting bored with having little to do all day – getting ready to send them back to school fully equipped can be a mission. Personally, I always seem to make the same mistake. Well, until recently I did, anyway. I always used to think of anything and everything that they could possibly need in terms of stationary, or gimmicks, or other fun paraphernalia. In that sense my two kids would be among the best prepared in the entire school! I’m talking about foolish things, like special files with secret compartments, or a compass with multi-coloured LED lights, or an eraser in the shape of Snoopy. But I always used to forget perhaps the most important thing: school uniforms! On the Saturday or Sunday before school started again for the year, I would place the school clothes out on a chair, look at them, and and think: the kids must have grown out of these! Then, because of my busy day job, it would always be hard to find a London schoolwear supplier that was open when I was free, so usually I had to rely on friends, which wasn’t great.

Nowadays, this is no longer an issue, because I have found a supplier that can deliver my children’s uniforms, which is just great. I get back from work in time to start cooking dinner, and most times the uniforms have been delivered to my neighbour, who kindly looks after our cat too.

I think the kids are fairly happy I have found a school uniform supplier as well, even if they refuse to admit it! Basically, it means an end to those embarrassing situations on the first day back at school when all the other kids are in their shiny new uniforms, but their shirts are too small, old and uncomfortable. I felt so awful the first time that happened! I also get their sports stuff from the same supplier now, which is excellent: it gives me loads more time to spend on getting fun new stationary!

It’s weird, but I don’t even tend to forget about the school clothes these days. I’m not sure why, but now, when I find myself browsing in a stationary shop and picking up some kind of novelty pencil case, I suddenly think: school uniforms! And I get online so I can put an order in with my London schoolwear supplier.
